El reciente fallecimiento de Oscar Antonio Huss, férreo defensor de Vélez Sársfield, de actuación entre 1945 y 1957, sirve de disparador para mencionar a algunos jugadores que tuvieron una aparición tan efímera en Primera División que ni siquiera los diccionarios de futbolistas los registraron.
El primer caso es el de Raúl Alberto Huss, hermano de Oscar, quien jugó un solo partido en la primera de Vélez durante la huelga de profesionales de 1948. La anécdota cuenta que cuando los huelguistas vieron en los diarios del lunes el apellido Huss jugando en Vélez, increparon al Negro Huss por su deslealtad.
La explicación de Oscar, acerca de que había sido su hermano Raúl quien había jugado, logró calmar los ánimos, pero no alcanzó para hacerle un lugar a Raúl en las recopilaciones históricas, sino hasta hace poco tiempo.
Otro caso singular ocurrió el 22 de abril de 1980 cuando por la 15ª fecha del Metropolitano se enfrentaron Tigre y River Plate. Los visitantes ganaban cómodamente 3-1 cuando a los 85 minutos, su técnico Angel Amadeo Labruna se dispuso a hacer un cambio, para permitirle a un juvenil debutar en la Primera División. El elegido fue Jorge Carlos De La Torre quien ingresó en lugar del Negro Oscar Ortiz.
Al día siguiente, De La Torre fue a comprar todos los diarios para guardarlos de recuerdo, pero su decepción fue mayúscula cuando vio que la gran mayoría de ellos ponía el nombre de su compañero Rubén Alejandro Larocca entrando en lugar de Ortiz.
Hace algunos años localizamos a De La Torre en San Nicolás, donde regenteaba su heladería. Después de algunos minutos de desconfianza, ya que estaba curado de espanto de que sus amigos lo gastasen por su historia no respaldada por los diccionarios, se explayó confirmándonos de que no solo jugó en la Primera de River, sino que esos 5 minutos le bastaron para considerarse campeón con los Millonarios.
La última historia destacada de esta entrega sucedió en 1970. El plantel profesional de Quilmes estaba en conflicto con sus dirigentes, por lo que un grupo de juveniles viajó a Rosario para enfrentarse a Central por la 4ª fecha del Metropolitano.
Cuando se disputaban 10 minutos del 2° tiempo, Carmelo Faraone, técnico quilmeño, mandó a sus suplentes a calentar. Un rato después decidió el reemplazante de Salinas. Ciertamente la cara de los juveniles era desconocida para los cronistas, por lo que preguntaron quien ingresó. La respuesta del banco de Quilmes fue “Bruno” y así pasó a la historia.
En nuestra investigación tuvimos la sospecha de que “Bruno” no era apellido, sino el primer nombre de Bruno Juan Collovati, quien solamente jugó esos minutos en la Primera de Quilmes, para luego continuar su carrera en Río Negro y en equipos regionales de Italia.
